I'm New

Expectations

You are invited to join us on Sunday morning either in-person or online. Visiting a new church can be intimidating and confusing. We want to help!

Basics

Worship Services include a 9am traditional serve and a 10:30am contemporary service. Our services are a little over an hour. Plan on arriving 15 minutes before the service you are attending so that we can meet you and show you around our campus-just look for one of the connect team volunteers!

Dress

There is no specific dress code at LKN Baptist. You are welcome to dress however you’re most comfortable. You’ll see everything from Sunday best to casual. Kids and youth normally dress how they would for school.

Park

We have ample parking around our LKN Baptist campus. For the 9am service we offer a golf cart shuttle. Look for our parking lot team to help you navigate your way.

Coffee

Come early for coffee and fellowship. We offer regular and decaf coffee, a variety of hot teas, hot cocoa and light refreshments.

Bible

At LKN Baptist, we value the Bible. It is a book of wisdom that tells us of How God has worked in the world, points us to Jesus, and trains us to live like him. So when you come, bring your Bible and come prepared to take notes!

Our Teachings

Get to Know Us

Beliefs

As a church, we are connected to those that came before us. We have a history that stretches back long before we were planted in the Lake Norman community in 1980. We are connected to two main traditions of scriptural interpretation and spiritual experience: first is the tradition of the early church, which is expressed in the Apostle’s Creed; and second is the tradition of Baptists.

FAQ’s

What are your worship services like?

Each weekend at LNBC, you will find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with joy-filled worship music, and a practical, Bible-based message about Jesus. We believe that no matter what you are going through, there is good news for you to hear about King Jesus!

Where do you meet?

We have two meeting places for our worship services. The first service is at 9:00am and it is more traditional. We hold that service in our beautiful Chapel, which is located on left side of our campus (looking from HWY 73). Our second service is at 10:30am and it is more contemporary. We hold that service in our Worship Center, which is located at the center of our campus (the front doors are between the two playgrounds).

Where are you located?

Our campus sits on multiple acres at the corner of Highway 73 (Sam Furr) and Catawba. Type this address into Google Maps and you should have no problem finding us: 7921 Sam Furr Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078.

How do I become a member?

The membership process begins by taking our four-week LNB Connect course. In a casual setting with guests and members, you will hear about the history of Lake Norman Baptist, our core beliefs and practices, our mission and vision, ministry strategy, instructions for how to become a member, and how to get involved. After the course, you will have the option of completing a request for membership. Our elders will follow up on your request and, upon approval, you’ll be invited to participate in a short new member induction at the end of a worship service. We hold new member inductions quarterly.

What about my children?

We’d love to connect with your family this weekend! To make your experience as smooth as possible, please take a moment to fill out our pre-checkin form before you arrive. To find out more about LNBC Kids check out the LNBC Kids webpage.

What will my first visit be like?

When you visit for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, be blessed, and see if this is the church family is for you.

We also have a team that is dedicated to help you get around our campus. Whether you have kids or not, our Connections Team is here to welcome you. This team specializes in helping check-in your children to our children’s programs, walk you through each children’s room and finally take you to the main auditorium and help you find a comfortable seat.
