Impact Through Giving as an Act of Worship

Everything we have is a gift from God. When we give, we are returning what was never truly ours in the first place, partnering with God in His mission to reach others. Your generosity it more than an investment in His work–it’s. an act of worship that expands your impact for His kingdom. Trusting God with your resources is about growing in faith and aligning your heart with God’s purposes.

Give Now

Prioritize God in your giving

When we choose to give, it’s important to put God first. Everything we have is a gift from Him, and we’re called to use it wisely. Prioritizing God in our giving means recognizing that He is the source of all we have, and our generosity reflects His love. It’s not about the amount we give, but the heart behind it – giving with joy, faith, and sacrifice. By focusing on God, we trust that He will use our gifts to bless others through healing, connection and purpose and further His kingdom.

First time givers have taken a faith-building step of investing in God’s kingdom and trusting him with the resources he has given.

Questions to consider before giving:
Questions to consider before giving:

1. What difference do I want this commitment to make in my life? Does it reflect a desire to grow as steward of God’s resources?
2. Am I asking God to guide me in my level of commitment?
Will I trust him beyond what’s easy or comfortable?
3. Am I thinking creatively about a giving plan that represents my true capacity to give? What assets & resources do I have besides income?
4. What things can I choose to live without in order to expand my impact for God’s kingdom in Lake Norman?
5. Am I finding new joy in giving through this process? Is God growing my heart for generosity?

Building a Giving Plan

Whatever your capacity, you can make an impact. Here are
some categories to consider. Use the worksheets on the following pages to build your giving plan.

Income-Based Giving

Budget

Allocating a percentage of your income (regular wages, bonuses, and/or personal business) for giving.

Sacrifice

Changing your spending habits to create margin for giving.

Delaying Expenditures

Postponing larger purchases to free up resources for giving.

Freedom from Debt

After a loan is paid off, reallocating monthly payment amounts toward giving.

Savings-Based Giving

If you have more than enough savings to meet future needs for yourself and your loved ones, you can invest unused earthly resources where they will pay dividends for eternity.

Asset Giving

If an investment-like stocks, real estate, and other assets-has increased in value since its purchase and has been held for more than one year, there may be tax advantages to transferring ownership of that asset to the church as a charitable donation.

Still Have Questions

How is my donation being used?

Your contributions help bring healing, connection and purpose to those in and around the Lake Norman area and beyond. They support the church’s efforts in reaching out to the community, providing services, and sharing the message of hope. Additionally, your gifts help cover the operational costs necessary to carry out these important missions and programs.

What is the meaning of "tithe"?

Tithing is the practice of giving 10% of your income to God through the church. It’s a biblical principle that reflects our trust in God as the provider of all we have. By giving a tithe, we honor God and support the church’s ministry, helping to fund programs, outreach, and the work we do in our community. It’s not just about the amount, but about giving with a grateful heart, prioritizing God in our finances, and participating in His work here on earth.

Can I mail a check for my contribution?
