Having been led by the Spirit of God to receive Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord on the profession of our faith and having been baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we freely and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body of Christ.
We pledge, therefore, by the aid of God’s Spirit, to live together in Christian Love; to work for the advancement of God’s kingdom through the Church in knowledge, holiness, and mutual care; to support its ministry by a faithful stewardship of money, time and talents; and to sustain its worship, ordinances, doctrines and disciplines.
We also pledge to maintain family and private worship; to rear our children in the nurture and spirit of the Lord; to seek the salvation of all members of our families and of our acquaintances; and to strive for maturity in ourselves and in our fellow Christians.
We further pledge to follow Christian principles of morality in our daily living; to be ethical in our dealings and faithful in our commitments; to promote the unity of fellowship by proper attitudes and careful speech; and to be zealous in our efforts toward the advancement of the Kingdom of God here and throughout the world.
We further engage to
watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember one another in prayer; to
aid one another in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in
feeling and Christian courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense but always
ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it
without delay.
